July Board Meeting

The Dallas County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (DCDLA) meets monthly to manage its mission and support the local defense community.

Schedule & Location

• When: 2nd Thursday of every month (except December).

• Where: Court Manager’s Office, 2nd Floor, Frank Crowley Courts Building.

• Timeline:

  • 11:45 AM: Open Session (Lunch, networking, and judge announcements).

  • 12:15 PM: Executive Session (Private; DCDLA members only).

Agenda Highlights

• Reports: Financial and administrative updates from officers.

• Events: Planning for CLE seminars (3rd Thursdays) and socials (Field Day, Holiday Party).

• Advocacy: Updates on court policies, DA office news, and legislative issues.

• Governance: Membership approvals and bylaw reviews.

Member Participation

To present a topic, submit a Board Meeting Agenda Request Form to the Secretary at least 10 business days in advance. Approved speakers generally have 5 minutes.
